Hi everyone

Was just looking around on the echo site. When i came across this echo which happens to be turbo charged. I find it kinda hard to see a yaris with a boot on it. Well here it is. It's got 115bhp not a lot but i think it a 1.3 engine so up from 85bhp to 115bhp.

Here the site for more info

I wonder why Britain didn't get the booted yaris? I think that it would take off here. As a lot of people complain that the yaris boot is to small. The boot on the echo looks massive. Nuff space for a wicked ice install

The thing that lets it down is the rear quarter window... <_<

Doesn't look quite right, other than that I like it, not as much as the booted Yaris though. :D

The reason they didnt import the Yaris Saloon is because probably no one would buy one.

There has only been the Nova and somesort of Suzuki thing that has been available as a proper saloon to my knowledge and neither sold very well.

There is a Yaris Turbo available in Japan though which could be worth importing.

The fact it only has 115bhp is fairly irrelevant though because the turbo will have added huge amounts of torque which most driving conditions is more important than BHP.

That's why my 2.0 Avensis auto can outrun most other 2.0's on the sprint even though it only has 126bhp whereas modern competition has 140-150bhp, because it has more torque lower down the rev range.
