Turbo Stops Working

Has anyone else ever found their turbo has stopped working on their Surf. Found origianlly that the vacum connector from the sensor to the turbo had come off. Connected up the clear vacume tube back to the connector on the turbo and it started working again. 30 miles down the road, turbo stopped again. This time though the vacum tube was still connected but no turbo. Not sure if its the sensor back to the management system thats packed up but thought I'd see if anyone else has had a similar issue before I take it to the local dealer.
