More Knock Sensor Advice On An St205

ok is this the easiest way in to get this git off, i had to stop today as the sun was nearly down and it was freezing, hopefully get it off tomorrow. As you can see i took the wheel off and where the red arrow is i had to grease up my arm and go in through that gap. I could get my hand on it and maybe if i had some 90degree pliers i would have had the plug off. My elbow was up against the cross member i think it is my grip with my fingers just wasnt strong enough and i could hardly get my arm in anymore. I have my doubts of of whether i can get a spanner on it hopefully a 24mm deep socket will do, it is 24mm isn't it? cause i have heard it is 23mm too. I hope this is help for anyone else trying to get the knock sensor out cause it is a pain. Any advice is welcome

cheers

Ok this is how im doing it now to get the ks off and it is much easier than going in from the wheel arch. Take the strut brace off which is those 6 nuts and bolts, unbolt the charge cooler reservoir from the strut brace and let it hang free as you see in the first pic. Then in the second picture i know it isn't the best explanation of where to put ur hand but u need to go under the dizzee cap and push ur arm pretty much the full length along until ur under the manifold. Then it is all about touchie feelie try and find the thin pastic shroud with one wire in it should lead you straight to the ks right under the manifold. Hope this helps anyone.

I finally got it out after 3 days of using new tool contraptions ive been making up. This is such a great day, however the sensor looks pretty sound and there is no rattling however it was very over torqued, i am hoping that was the problem but i have ordered a second hand just in case.
