Hi

I've just passed 70k on my 4.2 d4d xt2. So it's service time.

Is there anything I should look out for as I'm going to do it myself.

Can I use a flushing fluid on the engine before / during an oil change.

Do I need to clean any sensors or injectors. If so then how?

I do have a compressed air line to use so can blow them through if necessary

I intend to:-

change oil and filter.

change the rear pads. I've had them a while but not got round to doing it yet.

Anchorman has just put up a message regarding glow plugs on the 4.3. I'm going to check mine as well.

I will also change the rear diff oil as this is way overdue.

My wheels are also looking a bit grotty so I'm thinking about painting them back up at some point. (not sure when)

Went to Cardiff and back today averaging 42.5mpg at 60-70mph mainly motorway driving. Approx 320miles round trip. Two passengers and luggage one way. One passenger and no luggage return.
