Hi all and a Happy Hogmanay!

My wife has an '04 plate Yaris and the rear wiper has decided to stop working properly. It will move OK on the "up" stroke but when it gets to the vertical it stops and won't go back down. When in the up position you can hear the motor going. It will go back down with a push but it shows a little resistance. Many thanks for any assistance and a Happy New Year to you all.

well, my wiper is ****** too... as in it will move up and down fine but it doesnt wipe. Just leave large patches on the rear screen un-wiped.. pain in the *****, so my solution isnt the best, but simple dont use it. just when the screen gets dirty use a tissue and wipe it down, and in the wet... ur ****** :) i have heard from a few people that the rear wiper on the yaris is a bit *****e and i still have no idea how to correct this myself so just leaving it be and not using it lol

Hi YGS

The wiper cleaned the window OK which is unusual for a Yaris. As you no longer use yours, can I send you my address and maybe you could send me your wiper motor? LOL :D

All the best for 2009.
