Headlamp Bulb Spring Clip

Hi and happy new year to all Toyota owners everywhere.

Yesterday I tried to change a blown near side headlamp H7 bulb and in doing so I somehow had the spring clip that holds the bulb in place fell off its two lugs. It has fell down and I cannot locate it , is this clip available from any spares shop or is it a Toyota spare only or is there a universal clip I can buy.

My car is a 2003 Corolla diesel 4 door hatchback.

Regards

this is a toyota specific clip. you can only go to a scrappie or the local dealer.

i would say one thing though, if you are runnign without a lightbulb in the socket, then make sure you pull the fuse out for the LH headlight, otherwise it might pop - this happened to me.

Have put the old bulb back in for now but with this fog I'm not on the road today.

Had to remove some of the underbody gard plates and with a bit of luck found the spring clip, replaced the bulb and all is now well.

So if changing a bulb take extra care not to dislodge that spring clip as £100 (dealers price for new headlamp including not avaliable seperate clip )for a very tiny object is a bit over the top to say the very least Mr T....
