Rav 4.1 Part Throttle Jerkyness

Just a question my 1998 rav4 is great and drives suberb... just that it has a slightly jerky part throttle response.

Most noticeable in 3 rd or 4th gear at around 30-40 mph.

Its ahaving a main dealer B service in early Jan, so I`ll see if that sorts it, but I `m thinking it may be plugs, t leads or coil... anyone else know if this is a common 2.0petrol engine symptom?

Make sure it has the Toyota twin tipped spark plugs in, They changed the plugs around 96/97. I fitted some twin tipped to my old 96 model because of the same reason and it made it a bit better to live with.

At that age, I'd try the simple stuff like new plugs as has been suggested - also new leads and perhaps new disy cap and rotor arm. Not too expensive
