Hey guys,

I'm also looking for some alloys for my GTI...was hoping for 17's so sorry to sound like a complete noob but what exactly does rolling the arches involve? Can I do it myself ?

You can get away with 17's on a Twinny but only if it isnt lowered. Howver, the arches are very likely to catch the wheels with 5 people in the car.

Looks ***** aswell, Get some 15/16's.

17's Gonna slow you down aswell and handel like a pig.

If you want to roll your arches youv got to get it done professionally, its not worth risking it your self. Basically you 'Bend' the arches out using a Arch roller or even a hammer. Most likely will need to do some paintwork after rolling your arches.

Sounds good, my rolla hasnt been lowered (yet) but I am planning to do this later on when I have a bit more cash ! Was thinking of dropping it 30mm? I do want to improve the handling of the thing, especially in this icy weather so i guess ill go with the 16's which require no rolling.

If I go with 16's will I get into trouble when I try to lower it by 30mm ?

Yeah, 16's will go on whilst being 30MM lowered.

16's look good on a Twinny.

Woah! Those look nice ! Does look much better when lowered... Im thinking of getting these :
