just wondered if any one thought £100 was a good price for a used t sport strut brace, looks ok but if you can get a brand new aftermarket one for simular or near as money, is it worth while getting one of those instead? i have attached a pic it lokks ok just needs a bit of cleaning. is injen a good air intake system just starting to upgrade so need a bit of advice wasnt sure if this was the best position for the induction heat wise and cant get a cold air feed there easy

That Strutbrace is off the Facelift, the retail cost is horrendous from Mr T (500ish i think) i think you will still have to bend the brake pipes to fit it though as you will have a pre-facelift CTS , at £100 ist a massive saving over new provided its ok and isn't damaged.

The pic of the induction kit is not from the CTS, personally i wouldn't buy something that other people haven't tried as this car gets easily upset when messing with the MAF Sensor, purchase a K&N/Apexi and take the safe option.

£100 is well overpriced. i bought the rear of a facelift for £45. better getting a solid one like in my avatar. injen come highly recommended.

That induction kit looks interesting, Its placement is more deeper into the engine bay? I personally would stick with the k&n and apexi but its tottaly up to you. Alot of sportivo owners have injen cai. They must be good then im guessing.

InJen are a very well known company in various different countries. Try searching for the one that fits the Corolla XRS in America, Same engine but unsure what the difference is in the engine bay..

I wouldn't pay £100 for that Strut Brace, and if that's the one you're looking to buy it looks like it's off a LHD model? Could be way off the mark there though.

im from richmond near scotch corner, been trying to edit my profile but it aint working at the moment, i had a look on the web sites you linked and i think i might go for te whiteline strut brace. can the normal t sport dampners handle lowering springs or is it best to upgrade them, or save up a few pennys and go for some coilovers?

this strut brace is on eBay £40 +£15 delivery from hong kong, possibly to cheap and flimsy, any advice.

I've lowered my CTS on Eibachs with the standard Dampers. Don't have any problems. It's recommended you don't go any lower than 40mm though.

You can go lower than 40mm if you want, Your dampers will just have a much shorter life span. Hell they have a short life span with any springs over the originals :P
