03 Celica T-Sport

I've just spent a fortune replacing the P-Zero's on my rear wheels and getting 4 wheel tracking done only to notice that the camber on the rear wheels will continue to wear the tyres on the inner edges before anywhere else.

Is it supposed to be like that for any reason? - Performance? - Cornering ????

If not, any suggestions where i can take it to get it set correctly as my garage said that you need all singing all dancing alignment equipment which he clearly dosent have and if it's going to cost me more £ then i want it done properly.

A proper wheel alignment costs around £50 with the very expensive computerised equipment. Have you tried a yell search for your area?, the only one I know of is in Nottingham.

The trouble is a lot of these places will do what you tell them to and take your money in the blink of an eye, but dosent actually mean it's right for your car.

At the end of the day if it's suposed to be like that i wont change it - i'll just buy cheaper tyres !!!

have you thought of checking shock absorbers arent on the way out, im just about to replace tyres for same reason, local tyre supplier said another customer with same fault had shockers that needed replacing.

im not technically minded just passing on a suggestion made to me, ive had 2 celicas and a corolla tsport is the first time ive encountered wheel alignment issues on back tyres i must admit

I would not recommend cheaper tyres... personally i think they are just as important as brakes on a car... if the brakes can stop you , but the cheap tyres cant hold it to the ground what good are they?!

The places that do these laser wheel alignments do give you read outs before and after... and often if the rear camber is slightly out they can ignore them... but if they are well out then you will be just wasting money on tyres, and possibly fuel.

I have had my celica done twice in the 4 yrs i have owned it.... the first after it was lowered, the second after i hit a curb.... both times there were adjustments made as the tracking was out.

Not many places offer camber alignment.... you need to look for a place that does a full geometry check.... most do only the alignment.. which is the wheel and toe.... worst case scenario you can take it to Toyota to do.... but be prepared to spend close to a £100 for that privileged!
