Can anyone tell me if there any such manual for a 2004 avensis such as an hyanes workshop manual that helps you with repairs.

I don't think that Haynes have published anything for your year yet. I have Haynes (Book Number 4264) for Avensis 1998 to Jan 2003 Petrol models which I bought about a year ago, just a week after the publication was first released.
