Finally Washed The Rav4

After posting the pictures of my disgusting looking RAV4, I was shamed into washing it despite there being a layer of ice all over it

My before and after pics ....

(didn't bother washing the windscreen as getting a new one anyway )

Oh, and the eagle eyed will have spotted a Punto also transformed from Manky to Well-clean in the process - part of the special New Year BOGOF car cleaning offer :D

Anyone else gonna post their before and after New Year Tranny photos? (I mean the car washing ones :P )

Oh look what you've done now!! Yours looks lovely and it has exactly the same front bumper thingy as the one I've been umming and ahhhing over!

Doesn't look so 'pimpish' out in the street, Ithink I might just book me Monday off to go and look at it :)

Does yours have a cloth interior? Is it grey or silver?

Do you have rates for car cleaning? Proper job that! B)

about time ya lazy yoke!! i didnt do my car after, my mam did it, and its all streaky now so i'll have to do ot anyway :(

I cannot defend myself there. Molly But it's now clean enough for someone to come and go tearing down the lanes and mucking it up again ;)

Have to say, cruella, that if I was gonna be running my RAV around London, I would be wanting the front bumper thingy ("Nudge Bar") for added protection - I know just what London drivers are like!! the Nudge Bar, Side Chrome Bars and the Rear Chrome step are part of either the "Chrome Pack" or "Style Pack" (not sure which) and was something like a £500-£700 option new (mine was on the car already - bought s/h )

It had cloth seats but I converted to Leather recently and much, much prefer them.

Grey or Silver? the car? it is actually green! The official colour is Cadmium Green and is a Silvery Green - unusual and quite rare (it used to be a limited edition colour). I'm still getting used to it myself.

Oh, green! That's the one you were telling me about - I assumed it would be greeny green, not greyey green if you know what I mean? It's very smart. Are leather seats easy to come by? There was a set on eBay recently but they were for 2006/7 model would they fit?

The nudge bar is growing on me - and as you say it would be sensible for the London dodgems! :D

There is a "Proper" green colour - deep green - as well. Long story, but I bought a set of leather covers from eBay and recovered the originals.

If you came across a full set of actual seats, actually fitting a complete set would only take an hour. 2006/2007 model seats would not fit :(

Went out today some bits and bobs to get... thought ;) I'll clean the RAV while I'm out (not those where clean your car for £££££££££££££££££ places, they always charge £12 for a 4x4 :o ) but a jet wash (mines broken at home) but could I find one that was working :no: all of em out of action :o :o :o So now it's still dirty...

What get our there you wimpy man .... the RAV is not a big car so there is no excuse for not doing it

I do my car with a bucket and woolen mitt thing and it only takes 2 hours ;)

By the time I got back Steve it was dark.... and I had in my car the halogen bulb to place in the flood light half way up a tree in my garden.... but being dark I thought it best to leave till the morning the bulb replacement.... either that or face the night face down in the stream along side my house ;) ;) ;) :P :P

hi folks,re: loading pics on this forum,anybody know how to 'wipe out' registration numbers ,i just realised mines on show to everyone,bit late now though,no offence to anybody

new to this forum stuff,and dont know enough about computers.
