Not an expert myself, but I think you can now do it on Photobucket if thats the host you are using for your photos.

You can certainly add arrows and stuff so I imagine you can just scrub it out with a few lines.

I would think that if your version of adobe has got a clone or rubber tool you can use one of both to remove the numbers from the plate, if it does not i could do the images for you if you wish.

Let me know ?

I use paint.net which is the most powerful free software that I've used. Even better than photoshop (because it is free).

I just tried edit a pic using the photobucket tools as dave.m suggests and although it is a bit slow, it is very doable

hi pat2u

superb many thanks for that, really appreaciated

i do not have photo bucket on my machine, and with adobe i can only lighten images and sharpen them.as it is only the starter edition i have inherited from former owner (brother in law).

i have other images in my album ( i hope they loaded ok).

if you wouldnt mind,i would be most gratefull

i really dont know much about computers, only how to load up photos and found that by luck, generally only use to it surf web,buy things, and store photos.
