Interior Light , Not Working ?

Hi,

Just on my Auris last week and have noticed the interior light is not coming on when the door is opened.

Is there something turned off or do i have an issue ?

If it's new to you, and under warranty, all you can do is check the position of the switch, if it's on the "door symbol" there's not much more you can do, other than get the dealer to have a look for you.

The Auris, just like the Corolla, has 3 sets of interior lamps (unless you count the 2 underneath the sun visors) - there are two (left and right) near the inside rear view mirror, that are only turned on manually by clicking their buttons. The lamp you are expecting to come on when your doors are opened is situated precisely in the middle of the ceiling - just above the heads and between the two front seats. I and my dad (who has the Corolla '08) bot experienced this "issue" at the beginning until I found the lamp in the middle of the ceiling. It has a slider switch with 3 positions - Off, Door, On. Just slide it to the Door position and voila... :) Hope this helps. Cheers.
