Hi guys,

I'm new to the site and will hopefully be new to the Toyota army, I am going to be in the market for a 2nd generation Toyota Hilux Surf. What I'm wondering is what should I get? Year? Engine? Transmisssion? Or any other things I should consider before I purchase one. I'm from Canada so I'll most likely have to get one imported. I'll be using it for a daily driver to work and back and will sometimes be doing some light towing as I own an ATV. My plans are to make it into a light duty trail truck for hunting, camping and going on adventures. I will be installing bumpers, a winch, a Roof Rack and possibly a small lift kit to fit slightly bigger tires. Your opinions are valuable and will be taken into great consideration.
