Avensis Oxygen Sensor - Mot Test

Hi all,

The heater section of my oxygen sensor failed some months ago, resulting in the engine check light code 21.

Despite the fault I did not notice any difference in performance or mpg - with 130k on the clock it still delivers an average of 40+ mpg.

Just wondered how it would fair in the forthcoming mot emissions test - as it seems to run so well is it likely to pass ?

Also wasn't sure if the fact that the engine check light is on all the time - is this a point that would automatically cause a mot failure ?

Still looking at a replacement vehicle, so it doesn't seem worth spending a lot on this one as its sale value is so low ( clutch also slowly going )

thanks
