Key Battery Help?

hey guys,

Quick question...got home from work and tried to open the car with the remote and no joy...tried the key in the driver door and the alarm went off, so tried it again and the alarm went off....again lol!

After several attempts to use the remote again, the car suddenly opened, anybody else had this problem?

Is it the Battery in the key?

Found that I had a problem with mine when the car was covered in frost - had to clear a decent space in the driver's window first. I thought it had been the Battery, but it seems to work ok when the car is frost free

had a similar problem, the fob would work sometimes and then it wouldnt other times

pretty annoying when the alarm is going crazy and you can't turn it off.

I just took the key down the local key cutter/cobbler and he changed the Battery for a fiver - bargain

I spoke with Toyota and they said that taking the Battery out wont re-set the key unless its left out for a while
