Blitz Supercharger Or Silverstone Performance Supercharger?

Does anybody know if the standard CTS Clutch/Flywheel/Gearbox/Cooling System etc would be able to take 260 BHP if that was achieved?

Yes,no,maybe.... :) You gotta look at the torque for this one. The standard T-Sport clutch is (according to what I have been told by a Toyota rep) good for 170-180Nm (130ish ft-lb) static load. With the compressor upgrade you officially appx 210Nm on paper. The SP intercooler upgrade takes this again to 250+ Nm max. Now...the stock T-Sport clutch will still be able to handle this if it is not worn according to SP. But...for how long! ;) Flywheel and cooling is not an issue.

My clutch is starting to get worn down, so I'm getting a HD clutch in any case, but with the extra torque from SP or Blitz a clutch upgrade is in my book a must have. And it'll set you back a bit :crybaby: Getting a new flywheel is optional, but if you're thinking about it then it would be pretty smart to do it along with the clutchchange...hehe

I think ill be keeping the corolla for along time now. So i wouldnt mind paying for parts. But i dont think id go for a supercharger conversion for 4k. Ill stick with a NA build.

i'm with you on this one bud im sticking with the N/A mods wat are they tho?

im like and Ckman im stuck with the rolla for a while rents said if i change it again before im 21 im out :/

and i gt offered a 06 compressor for 5k last week :(

Well from research, there are a few na built 2zz-ge engines but cost a fair bit. From reading up on different parts and modifications.

a fully built 2zz-ge is not my target tho but i am certain the car can be tweaked to perform better. Type in 2zz build in google and many different parts come up.

I really want to get the camcon up and running along with a ported header, 2.5" exhaust system and stage 2 cams. See what happens from there. Im happy for what the car is and im not after making it into a drag car. I do want it to have more poke tho.

For budget and power is the way im going to go. So far piper cams (reduced on monkey wrench racing), ported headers, exhaust and a camcon seems the way to go!

It seems like this has kinda become a love hate situation with some ppl in the forum, some r saying dont bother bcos of the price and others r saying i shud bcos its a passion. In my mind it is a passion and i do plan to keep the car for a while, so i think i will end up getting a supercharger fitted eventually but just depending on which one. I was planning to change the Flywheel and Clutch eventually so even if the clutch decides to go after fitting the supercharger, thatll b an excuse for me to get a new one.

Like i said my hearts is towards the Blitz kit, BUT SP kit is far more cheaper and thats including fitting and they wud know wot they r doing bcos they hav done it to their car, but not many ppl if n e hav got a Blitz supercharger on their corolla in the UK so id like to b one of the 1st  and also the Blitz kit is suppose to hav more BHP.

Im just gna save up for now and wait till i hav enough to decide wot i want and will do more research wen time comes

My original plan was to keep the car N/A like wot Farhan wants to do, but in the end of the day u can do a lot into the engine and also spend LOADS of money and get quite a lot less power than just supercharging the car, but i guess the plus sides to just getting internal bits for the engine is u dont need to tell insurance :P

In my mind it is a passion.....

YES! :) and when it is such, one really does not (in my book at least) tend to put more emphasis on bang for buck than what one desires. I sure hope you will keep us up to date on your progress on this one. I would love to see a build thread on the Blitz if that is the way you go.

Seeing that the Blitz uses the same SC I believe the increased is just in the setup or possibly in combo with a different SC pulley than what SP uses (not sure what Boost the Blitz kit is running). Bear in mind that SP are being moderate in their tuning on purpose.... If you want more info around this I suggest you all Matt Lee over at SP. He's a really nice guy who knows what he's talking about.

Selfinflicted excuses are always the best...

It would be wicked for you to do it william. I personally couldnt do a supercharger conversion, My parents would murder me if they found out how much money i paid for it haha! Thats why im going for a NA build. Id sway to the SP kit to save you some costs, but if you think the blitz is the one for you defo go for it. It will be indervidual because no one up till now of whom iv known has the blitz kit on a t-sport.

Why not get a turbo conversion it would probably cost the same but you'll get much more POWER!!?

Turbo will involve custom fitting and like Supra said A LOT more preoblems, i think ill stick with a charger and enjoy the charger Whine, ill go for a Turbo for my next car, maybe the new R35 GTR  but thatll b MANY years lata wen the price has dropped considerably :D

Fitting a turbo will cost more i reckon, getting the right turbo and then all the labour and costs afterwards will add up. Go for the blitz william, combined with your current modifications i reckon your car is going to be a stunner!

Ok looks like ill b going to Silverstone Performance instead, After reading through this forum http://au.toyotaownersclub.com/forums/inde...mp;#entry192110 it looks like the Blitz kit has been Discontinued :( O well atleast i dnt think to think bout which to get. Xoom also in the forum backing up the Turbo Crew :D

Going SP would certainly make things easier. The turbo mod is EXENSIVE and requires a sh*** load of knowhow, patience, custom fitting, money and the list goes on (just look at Xoom's mod list...!!! :o ). But it's pretty awesome that somebody has made it work and so well in addition. Tough project to star with your dailydriver... ;)

Congratulations borodaz. :)

I'm also going to be a dad in April.

I promised not to buy anything for my rolla anymore, before we know how much money we need for the baby.

Just going to do that new paintjob and fit that new bodykit.. For that i have saved some money so it doesn't count. ;)
