How To Remove Side Skirts? 16 Valve Gti

Hi guys

My beloved 1988 16 valve GTi needs some welding to the sills for MOT. Can anyone tell me how to remove the side skirts please?

My beloved 1988 16 valve GTi needs some welding to the sills for MOT. Can anyone tell me how to remove the side skirts please?

Its easy.

Under the side skirts (On the bottom) theirs a row of bolts. You need to remove them, Will be a bit of a pain as they will be rusty.

And at front of the sideskirts (Front wing corner area) their are about 2/3 bolts holding the sideskirt in.

All should fall once these are removed.
