Just took the car in today to have the breaks sorted because of corrosion. over and gear linkages "tightened" as they put it. But they told me it has to go back in next Friday to get the steering rack replaced. (nightmare).

Anyway at the end of this month the 3 year warranty runs out just wondering what else will go wrong with it, so far in been in for;

7,000 miles clutch and radiator replaced

20,000 miles water pump and book lock and front brakes replaced.

and now 28,000 miles steering rack and more brakes.

Anyone else had anything major go wrong and had to be replaced by the dealer?

Matty.

18,000 miles, 30 months of ownership and it's been in once to replace the V-Belt.

Mines been in for:

- All seals replaced

- All carpets replaced

- New radiator

- New boot release button

Unsure for mileage on the rad, think it was about the 13-14k mark.

Mines got 15.5k on the clock and also warranty finishes in 2-3months.

Still feels just as good as the day I bought it though nearly 2 years ago.

I'm at just over 30.000mi (49.000km) now and have had my car for 28 months.

So far I've only had the front brakes replaced becuase of them squeeling all the time

and two door seals (left front an right rear) for a leak and a tear due to mis-alignment...

I LOVE my Aygo... My 100NX cost me over £500 in maintenance

in one year the Aygo has cost me less than that in more than two.

6 months old and been back once- Ignition system fault. Hopefully the only time.

50k miles...been in twice...

Once for wheel bearing and rusty wheel bolts

once for the drivers door mirror as the little adjustment stick stopped working

Very minor stuff..

in for:

stuck rear boot button

collapsed rear brake drum

hazard light swith fell off

gearbox actuator (whatever that is, came to 750 in parts) MMT car

rear wash wipe failure

the haven't quibbled once, just been a pain taking it in and out.....20k miles.

we extended the warranty for i think 7 years (might be until its 7 years old) and sod's law, nothing major since. its good value, we got it for around 300 quid and it includes breakdown cover and MOT so pretty much what those things cost.

otherwise its been fine - the only thing annoying is the wipers need replacing every 6-8 months and there's lots of squaeks and rattles.....however the passenger seat seems to have stopped squeaking on its own....

My daughter's car has been in some 5 or 6 times

Glove box door 3 or 4 times

Gear change linkage

Rear door seal

Might still have to go in again if the door seal leaks again :(

Had the car just over 2 years, 18000miles.

Only "fault" has been noisy (I cant remember if they were squeaking or rattling) front brakes.

Otherwise, thank goodness, drama free.

MrT replaced the front discs, but I did not ask for it to be done.

1* clutch adjustment

1* Back inside passenger side panel replaced as it came away at the top.

I've had mine for 15 months and done 24k miles, only warranty work needed was to replace

the front N/S shock absorber as it was leaking just after I had the Toyota lowering springs fitted.

After 15 months & 13,000 miles its been in once for a quick look at the air con which was making a weird noise - sorted after about 30 mins or so

Everything else has been hunky dory... no other issues - very happy with it! :yahoo:

mines not actually been 'in' for any particular work but there has been things that needed sorting at each service

10k - brakes needed re-adjusting

20k - new pads & discs

2 new front tyres

broken rear wash/wipe

ignition problem

and shes just ticked over the 30k mileage and so booked in for another service - itll soon be her 3rd birthday so want to get most of the work done before warranty ends - shes going to have to have the rear wash wipe fixed again! and the ignition problem is back.

but it doesnt affect my passion for little growler, she puts a smile on my face every time I ride her, and that cant be a bad thing!

I was surpised the brake pad were covered and they honoured my warrenty as i missed the service by so much.

Been in today, new clutch to be fitted next Friday. Started to make a squealing noise when changing 1st to 2nd. Not all the time, but especially when pulling off quickly. Not talking boy racer quickly, more emerging onto a dual carriage-way quickly.

Past problems include:

New brake discs and pads at 20000 miles. Discs had worn within the lifetime of one set of ads. But Mr T still refused to replace under warrant.

3rd pair of front tyres now due (28000 miles). Excessive wear due to wheel alignment problems. God knows how many times they've been re-aligned. Got to be more than 6 times by now.

Very noisy / raspy exhaust. I know the note of the Aygo is gruff but it sound like i've fitted some chavvy custom jobby. Mr T has checked it over a couple if times, but reckons all is o.k.

I still love my Aygo though.

I've taken mine in more than 10 times over the last 35 months of ownership. It's done 39K.

- boot lid latch problem, where the boot didn't always close properly

- noisey fron seat - took it more than five times because Mr T kept changing the wrong parts, and it hasn't been really fixed.

- "leaky" water pum replaced twice in the last 14 months, i.e. mines on its 3rd water pum now.

Idon't know it's the cars design problem or the garage's incompetence but I haven't been too happy...
