Battery Replacement

Hi!

Does anybody know if I do need to buy memory keeper and plug it into cigarette lighter while I change the Battery, just to prvent all the computers from blocking and re entering all the codes or this does not apply to thv toyota's. I am having Avensis Estate D4D T3S 2.0 2003

To palmerino,

I always use memory saver on modern cars no matter what the model. It cannot do any harm, saves messing around adapting windows etc etc. Not so sure that you will lose ECM info on Toyota models (never had this problem), others can answer that. But as above certainly will not do any harm.
