Gear Box Oil And Engine Oil?

hi. one of my friend told about motul v300 5w-40 oil to use in engine he use same brand for gear box oil .he said gear change is very smooth and engine also owrking very good with this oil. what think about guys? and alos is not to cheep :( i have plane to put in summer time
