Replacing Rear Bulbs

I've just noticed that the reversing light bulb has failed on the offside of my 3 door 4.2.

Following the instructions in the handbook it looks like a simple 5 minute job.......?

Am I missing something or do you need special miniature sized hands and arms to pass them

through the tiny hatch and then down into the depths of the rear wing before

attempting to unscrew the bulb holder. I can't believe that it is physically possible

for a normal sized human being to do this, especially the indicator bulb at the bottom.

What is the trick?

Jon

Bulb replacement on the 4.1 is a piece of **** - no bother as the whole light unit falls out the back easily.

On the 4.2 you need to remove the inspection covers and access panel??? Whatever happened to child slave labour? Thats when kids come in handy!

anchorman - I don't think the 4.2 3 door is that much different to the 4.2 5 door???

For what its worth, you don't need reversing lights for the MOT - I don't have them on my RAVs as it was one of the casualties of swapping the engines... and we haven't bothered to solve the wiring glitch!
