Toyota Avensis 2000 Door Not Tight

Hi can someone please tell me how to tighten toyota avensis 2000 model door because when i open the drivers side door it just slams opens.

I think you need to look at the strap between the hinges.

It could be the door catch on the center pillar that needs adjusting it sounds as if its moved towards the outer side of the car, it can be adjusted if you undo or loosen the screws on the actual hinge catch and mess about a bit with the setting.
