:( Oh dear....................My washing machine failed big time .......(Split Tub) on Monday evening......................so I have had to get a replacement.

If that was not bad enough the Central Heating/Hot Water boiler has failed this evening :crybaby:

Total lack of power ..........No power light on boiler (Potterton Puma 80)

I have checked the supply fuse and the circuit board fuse and they are both OK................No signs of any burning/scorching on circuit board................. Any C/H engineers on here?

Looks like quite a lot more expense :(

I am sitting here with my coat on at the computer :help:

Steve, this is a car forum and not a Glow Worm central heating one!!!! :P

Bad luck dude but it is the time of the year for central heating issues and you should stop washing coal in your washing machine.

Snap (near enough)

You have my sympathies my Potterton Puma 80 decided to stop supplying hot water to the radiators last week and nothing at all from yesterday. Can't complain as it is 15 years old. Also my dishwasher has died too. Doh. Gas services guy goming today to sort out boiler my dishwasher may have to wait until payday!!!

Alot of the houses around me have the same boiler as all the houses were built at the same time, and we are quite near a steelworks. Apparently when they have a shut down or power up it causes a spike in power that blows the boards in the Puma as they are not very reliable.

These things are supposed to happen in threes so be careful

Hope you are up and running soon.

Cheers

Jeffrz

Sorry to hear that, Steve :( . I hope that, at least, your boiler is just something minor

It certainly doesn't help, coming so soon after the Christmas & New Year drain on the resources.

Life can only improve from here on, so, chin up

Thanks for all your kind thoughts  and the not so kind thoughts which made me smile :D

Well the boiler is fixed...................needed a new modulator control board.....................A local heating engineer called in today and sorted it.........I have heating but think that the clock control is not functioning..........engineer to call again................bill to follow :o approx £200.

The replacement washing machine is delivered in the morning......................local independent trader matched the multi-national sellers on price..............and they will fit it and dispose of my old machine at no extra cost

This week can only get better :(

I told you that :thumbsup: I found that when running my business. I would get 2 or 3 days in a row when the xxxx hit the fan  . I came to accept that it was only a run of bad luck, keep my head down, plough on, & I'd come out the other side & things would be ok again :D
