I know this sounds random but i have a 2001 celica vvti 140 (gen 7)

my car drives fine but when i turn the steering wheel makes a slight air or whooshing sound. i assume this is a power steering problem or something. Any ideas? I got an exedy stage 1 clutch fitted yesterday and the car wasn;t making this sound before.

Mine is more noticeable when manouvering and parking . it does make the noise when stationary but more obvious when moving. It is more annoying than anything and like i say didnt used to do it but now i have had this exedy clutch fitted makes the noise :(

hi

think you will find that its just a power steering thing it will be more noisy ie if you sit in the car engine running and just turn the wheel you will hear it as it has to work harded to turn the wheels when there not moving , you wont hear it when you build up speed as it doesnt have to work as hard if you see what i mean .....
