Where Can I Find My Alarm Ecu?

Hi

Hopefully someone can help me, i'm new to this forum so lets the the ball rolling and see if i can find the answers i need!

I recently bought a 1998 Celica and it came with no key fobs even though i know it has a TVSS alarm fitted as standard. I managed to get a key fob on eBay with the right part number for £6 (saving me £70 if i was to purchase from Toyota!).

Anyway I have found out how to reprogramme it but i also need to get to the alarm ECU and toggle some sort of trip switch apparently?

All i need to know is where this ECU can be found so I can have a play and see if I can get the new fob working?

Any help will be much appreciated...

Cheers :D

Mike

Welcome to the forum !!!

Not sure about the Celica

My 1994 RAVs had the alarm ecu fitted to the underside of the dash mounted on a bracket near the centre console bit. I think the alarms were fitted when the cars came to the UK and the position and wiring seems to vary slightly. I'm guessing the Celica would be similar
