Right, I got an error code come up the other "Running too light (bank 1)"

Which is usually the lamda sensor... Now the CTS seems to have 2, before cat and after cat. Anybody have any ideas as to which one is more likely to go kaput?

The 1st one is the Lamba Sensor, i think the 1st one is a Temp sensor wot the Cat, but some1 can correct me if im wrong

Nearly all 2000 onwards built cars for UK/European Specification now have TWO oxygen / Lambda /O2 /EGO sensors (-Listed just some of the names they get called!)

I say TWO but 'V-engined' vehicles may have more, for each exhaust bank/side etc.

On post 2000 model year vehicles the front (or pre-cat) sensor provides the information on which the car can base its fuelling decisions, whereas the back (or post-cat) sensor confirm that the catalytic converter is working efficiently.

What actual 'P' fault code do you have?

Unsure. Friend tested it with his works reader and don't think it actually gave a P code.

I'd imagine it's the pre-cat sensor as my MPG has dropped (only by 2) and the car occasionally decides to be jerky / lack of power until pedal to the metal.

Known this happen a few times

Yes P0420 is a common O2 sensor related code but a slowly failing O2 sensor does NOT always spark up a code.
