hi there has anyone had a problem with the engine malfunction light coming on after refuelling due to the fuel filler cap not being tightened until it clicks/ratchets. Apparently this is a common problem but as i have recently purchased a yaris this is my first post here and cannot see about this problem anywhere on this forum. i found out about this at the site below. many thanks Barry

Im pretty sure you wont get a fault code which is connected to the fuel cap - ive never seen one and plenty of our customers dotn tighten the cap properly.

the only reason i asked was after recently getting my mother a second hand yaris the engine malfunction light came on and after looking at all the info on this site i did a full service ,cleaned the MAF which was really dirty but the light came back on after i reset it(second trip). i have not got the fault code because the garage where i bought the car are sending someone out to plug in a dianostic laptop. so i was just looking at all the info and came across the site i previously mentioned but that was in the USA so decided to ask here so cheers for the above answer . i suppose i will have to wait for the man with the laptop to turn up
