Removing Wing Mirror

The missus had an argument with a wheelie bin and we are now in need of a new passenger side wing mirror. I've seen some on eBay and I have two questions:

1.) The ad on ebay stipulates that the mirror is a replacement for cars fitted with the "round connector". Can anyone tell me what connector that is? At present, the mirror is kind of hanging off. I removed the outside casing and I'm left with two wires which attach to the electronic movement. These connectors are not round, they are kind of oblong with two pins on each. I'm guessing the round connectors in the eBay ad are the main connectors behind the plastic surround attached to the door itself. Which brings me to question 2....

2.) How does the mirror detach? I've had a resonably firm tug at the plastic surround but it ain't budging....Can anyone help?

I should mention the vehicle is a 2003 T Spirit.

Thanks!
