Slippy Pedals

In wet weather when my soles of my feet get wet I find the pedals become very slippy. There has been occasions where might foot has slipped off the clutch when manouvreing out of supermarket car parks and the car has ended up lurching forward. I have been lucky not to have hit anything to be honest.

Has anyone else experienced this with the RAV's pedals.

Does anyone know of a potential fix?

Any suggestions would greatfully received.

Cheers

Hi Bomber, can't say as its something i have experienced other than after fuelling when i may have got oil/diesel on my shoes off a mucky garage forecourt, other than that inspect your shoes + pedals for contamination of any kind, maybe clean your pedals with some kind of de-greaser, I do not know if the pedals have replaceable rubbers but if they have that might help, wouldn't expect them to be worn on such a new car, as a last resort possibly a gentle rub with a bit of sand paper may restore their non slip characteristics, wear a different type of shoe..

Local Hero beat me to it. There is no doubt you have diesel contaminated footwear, this stuff is lethal, and takes a lot of dispersing. You need to sort this one sooner rather than later.
