Where can i get one of those Stereo/Mounting Fascia thingys from???

The one's that let you put in a normal stereo instead of the Fantastic piece of plastic that is fitted.

There is a bit of a fitment issue, esp with the early E12 models to the dash, but it's something i've lived with.

I took mine apart just looking once and it's left like half a mm gap. Barely noticeable. DO want an Aftermarket headunit in eventually though.

I ordered that fascia from car audio direct which has a bigger pocket at the top...it is also better colour matched to the interior and a better fitment. But they sent me the same blue coloured one that i already had so returned it. I dont think they do the exact one no more which man-bing has posted up and the one in the photo on the website. There are 2 single din fascias out there....there are loads like the auto leads ones which are slightly blue coloured (i have that one along with a majority on the forum) I wanted the one which has been posted in this topic but everytime i order a fascia from somewhere its the same blue coloured one like mine. Mine also rattles because there are only 2 bolts to hold it. I want a aftermarked fascia with a 4 bolt holder like the original unit so it is in more secure.

My original facial adaptor i first got, was from the States, many years ago before everyone went to mass production on it.

I know what you mean farhanali, it's not quite a full black colour, but my one i have is very close, but since i've had it, its not faded too badly.

I still have my fascia adapter, it was a perfect match for the dash, only thing is i snapped the 'hooky' but off the bottom, but still sits in there nicely, could always bring it along to a meet and let you have a look and see if it would be any good to you?
