ive got a 06 corolla tsport, and as im sure all of you know the 0-60 on them could and should be at least a second quicker, so ive been thinking how to reduce the 0-60 and improve acceleration in general, so far ive come up with:

quick shifter kit

lightened flywheel (50-60%)

fast road cams

induction kit inc cold air feed

exhaust system cat back inc manifold

probably need a remap after all that too

so i was wondering if anyone has bought any of the above parts, what make to go for, ease of fitment cost and what differences you noticed and also im just assuming there is a fast road cam kit out there for the t sports, can anyone confirm this?

much appreciated petrol heads

short shifter defo worth it,

k&n typhoon and a flywheel will be very useful to get power for cheap.

The others may involve more costs but from the top 3 it can be said that they are very good for the price you pay

All the mentioned bits have been fitted by people, the general improvements will be in the mid range and certainly a better exhaust and induction noise. The remap is the one thing that hasn't made the biggest difference (as it cant be done?), the cams have yet to be done on a Rolla. Piper Cams make them and some owners have had these fitted celica owners club, you do need a Power FC as well.

That lot probably wont be leaving much change out of £3,500+ i expect.

ECU remaps can prove to be very good!

My dad is sending his coupe in for a remap on wednesday and these guys guarantee to add at least 15bhp!

It does cost £400 though, so it would be the best value once you have done some of the other mods first. Still dont let it escape your thoughts!

there is not much mapping involved unless some extensive work is done. Mapping the car how it is will see tiny or no gains.

cheers guys, yer i wouldnt get it mapped untill i had done all of the above, i have heard that mapping them gets little or no gains unless going all out on a stand alone system which are 1-2k before setup, the main reason for re mapping would really just to make sure im not running rich or lean after messing with the induction, cams and exhaust as sometimes certain sensors can give the ecu false readings resulting in the above

i am defo intrested in the cams tho for starters, whats the piper induction kit where its a cold air feed then a pipe leading to a carbon fibre cylinder in which the air is supposed to be like turbulance to get more oxygen into it, are these any cop on the rollas?

t sport 786, cams are the same as factory standard but are re profiled to give you more lift and to let the valves stay open for longer letting more mixture into your pots quicker (correct me if im wrong someone) but thats my general understanding of them
