Celica Cd Player Broken

Hi there,

I have a double din CD/MiniDisc/Radio in my 1999 Japanese import Celica. Unfortunately the CD player is knackered :( but I want to keep the unit as the MiniDisc is gr8 :) ... I've removed the CD and would like to know if it can either be repaired or can get a replacement CD to sit in the original housing!

It can probably be repaired. Take it down to your local car-audio shop, or any place where there's an old fella tinkering with broken electronics from a tatty small shop, see if they can do anything with it...

It had worked but I got a CD stuck in it and I had to take it apart to remove the disk... Hmmm, a couple of those tiny springs fell away and well, as you can imagine I couldn't for the life of me fix it!!! :(

a stuck cd usually means the rollers that pull the cd in and spit it out are at fault , maybe a cheap fix . i doubt anyone will have spares for such a unit , but you never know.

theres a cheap toyota brokers near me that specialize in imports, if you interested il give u there phone number and surpose you could ring and see if they can send you a original cd player?
