New Engine Noise On You Tube!

hi folks

i have a new engine noise on you tube for you to listen to if you would please

its a horrid squeeeel type noise,type in 'rav4 squeel' and you should find it,only last for 15 seconds

engine can be cold or hot,just happens when i turn it off

its worse on cold days though

any opinions would be nice

The only things that slow down when the engine is turned off are the cooling fans (but only if the aircon is switched on) and the turbo.

Turn the aircon off and then take the inlet pipe off the turbo and see if it is louder.

anchorman, really appreaciate your advice....i used to mess about with cars years ago,but not anymore(they are just too complicated now,all computerised and stuff).

i prefer to leave it to a 'qualified' technician,and as car is still in g/tee i dare'nt touch it.

you folks on here are just so helpfull,with advice,thoughts,comments.

rav going into dealers on thurs evening to hopefully get replacement 'water pump' 'brake solenoid check valve',check out a 'grinding' noise on front passenger side brakes,(had new discs and pads fitted both sides approx 4 months ago).

also a sometimes sharp or juddery clutch on cold starts ,only from standstill in 1st gear .

collecting either a 'yaris' or 'aygo' as courtesy car to use during friday.......yuk

would love a courtesy land cruiser instead!
