Xenon Bulbs

Any one can tell me what bulb i should use for my Auris. I want to change my halogen to xenon. And sm1 can tell me what is diference between xenon and bixenon?

One more question: i know there are 3k bulbs that gives u some yellow colour, but are there some lower one's like 2k or so?

Hello xexe, and welcome on TOC!

Auris needs H11 for low beam lights and fog lights... High beam lights are HB3 (also called 9500)...

xenon is when you have normal bulb for low beam lights and normal bulb for high beam lights.

Bixenon is when you have one bulb, which works as low beam and high beam at the same time.

There are two different ways how bixenon works, it's up to the car model.

1) There is a metal cover which covers the high beam when it's off. When you put your high beams on

the covers moves away and you see the high beam light.

2) The bulb is in one position when your low beams are on, but when you turn high beam lights

on, the bulb moves and the high beam part of the bulb comes out so you can see it.

Auris is using norman xenon bulbs, not bixenon!

Why would you want to have some 2000K bulbs? It's not even as bright as halogen (which is about 2300K).

I think there's no 2000K bulbs, only 3000K... But if you want some yellow bulbs, some shops do sell special xenon

kits in different colours. Yellow, green and many others...
