Actually, no I'm not - yet. Still hunting!

Looking for a Caldina (Corona wagon) or maybe Ipsum (Picnic), with 4wd. We get lots of used Japanese imports here, even if you can get an NZ-new one, at the ten-year-old mark where we are shopping, most of the Jap imports have airbags and air-con, whereas the local ones don't.

Hoping this forum will be a rich resource for info.

Well, our budget has suffered a temporary setback, and a friend was off-loading his Mum's old car... so we've just bought an old Starlet for $100... yeah, that's about 30 quid :D

It's a 1987 Starlet XL Lisse (EP71) red 1.3L auto, 2-door, 105,000km, with air-con and power steering. Has 4 different types of tyres, 2 need to be replaced to be road worthy. It's a bit tatty, quite a few ancillaries don't work, and goodness knows how long since it's had the fluids changed etc, but the body is reasonably rust-free and the engine goes well with only a little smoke on start up.

So initially I will be chasing data mainly, eg recommended tyre pressures, engine oil weight & volume, basic service stuff like that.
