Electric Rear Window Model Surfs

i have a surf on a j plate with the electric rear window, the one that you have to lower/raise the back window with the key then open the tail gate with the catch inside and my motor has packed up :( . toyota want a £179.99 for a new one does anybody know of any second hand ones/reconditioned/copy part ?

any help would be greatly appreciated , nice forum too :)

Hi, you'll find lots on eBay that's where I got mine.Also the same electric motor is used on the near side passanger door of any Toyota of the same age.

what year is your surf mate? what litre? and is it an import?

If you read the post it's on a J plate so it will be a 2.4ltr, and all Surfs are imports unless it's badged 4-Runner.

thanks for the kind offer but thats still a bit to steep for my pockets in january but will bere you in mind as i may need cam belts and kit ;)
