Had my Roof Rack on for a while over Xmas etc, took it off last night and there for all to see was a dent in the a pillar...Reckon I tightened it up too much and the outer a-pillar/roof line skin is quite thin.

so there you are, don't over-tighten your Roof Rack!!!.....DOH!!!!!!! :ffs: :ffs:

I've got a Roofrack too but I never experienced somehing like this.

How much weight did you carry on top of it?

Maybe the clamps were not aligned on the correct places so you had to tighten it too hard?

Standard Mr T Roofrack, carried one bike (on a proper Thule holder), correct mounting point (measured)

damage is PURELY me over tightening it and I didn't have to try very hard!......I'm the clown here!!!
