HELP! I got the radiator and everything on... Pulled the thermostat... BUT i forogot to attach the dipstick guide!!! Ive tried looking everywhere!!! Where does it go?!?!? Do i just stab around in the dark till i get it in?? I cant see it from under the car!! PLEEEEEEASE HELP!!!!!

It goes between the thermostat housing and the oil filter,into the hole below and to the right of the filter

the guide bolts to the thermostat housing

look in the last pic uder the oil cooler at the botom of the block next to the turbo oil return pipe you will see a hole it goes in there

Thanks! Good Pics! Sweet! Back in, it scared the crap out of me! But i did find a whole bunch of muck up there!! Wow its dirty! I still have oil in between my fingernails and stuff lol. I hope thats kinda normal for a 91! Well i dropped the bolt and cant find it, ill just shove another one in there and hope the other one falls out while driving! =-P Dont think it will hurt anything, nothing really moves down there anyway(right?).

Saw your post about my Oil Dipstick Guide, thanks!!! I wanna say you engine looks very clean and nice! Wish mine was that clean! Looks like you put alot of work! Was it just dropped and hand cleaned and painted?? Or did you order all new parts?? Looks like some parts were painted...

Glad it helped a little

the only new part on the engine is the water pump ,the rest has been painted

pump was replaced to cure a water leak that turned out to be a core plug behind it

(oh and new red hoses)
