if its not detecting the correct temperature the ecu will be misled and fuelling wont be correct

not a major problem with it out , but may cause long term problems.

cheers for help mate.got my hands on induction that wernt for my car and dident have the hole to replace

the sensor once fitted.it was free you see and i thought id give it a go.not guna do it tho as it aint worth

the risc of long term probs.

i fitted a cone filter and left that black plastic box section in place , i used the stock pipe to air filter box and drilled out a 8 or 10 mm hole in a thick part of that pipe to house the air temp sensor. the biggest problem i had was finding a reducer because the stock pipe is very large at that end . compared to the end of most induction filters . i used an outer racer from an old wheel bearing to make up the difference and slid the filter inside this , all held in place with a jubilee clip.
