I wanted to connect some LEDs to the front sidelight, but im not sure how to do it. Anyone have any tips on how to carry out this process. I want the LEDs to light up when i turn on the sidelights. I also have lights I wish to install inside the car under the seats, but i am not sure how to connect the wiring. Any help??

Don't know about the lights under the seats... Had once yellow lights under the dashboard in the leg space. They were just connected to the cigarette lighter, but then I removed them because I got bored with them

About the LEDs, I suppose you mean side blinkers? If yes, I think it can't be done from the engine space, so you will have to open wheel arch (plastic cover which is above the wheel). There are few plastic screws, when you'll open them you will be able to move the plastic cover a bit to the side and get your hand in to remove the blinker unit...

Best regards, Alex

If you dont know what you are doing with the electrics then dont even attempt it.

You can cause alot of damage to the ECUs if you wire something up wrong or even worse cause an electrical fire.

Take it to somewhere that specialise in ICE (in car entertainment) or get an auto electrician on the job.

Reads to me as if he wants seperate LED's to light up when the sidelights are turned on but leave the standard side lights where they are.

Also he would need to wire in the lights he wants to use under the seats too.

Ah, ok then... I can say honestly that I wouldn't start doing anything about what I'm not sure. It's really better to leave for the professionals.

But with some good instructions (if you understand them), it's a whole different case. But needs lots of consideration anyway!

Best regards, Alex

Yes thats very true, there are plenty of SRS/airbag wires you can easily cut or short out which could deploy or disable the airbags/pre tensioners.

Plus the new car loom systems/CAN/CAM/multiplex etc will only take a small amount of volts/current before they are damaged.

I like my old MK1 Fiesta - that was so simple! lol
