Which Surf To Go For?

I figured this is the best place to start.

I'm looking in to getting my hands on a 3rd gen surf. However I'm confused as to which one to get. Do I opt for a SSR-X or SSR-G, what's the difference? I know that I want to get the 3.0 diesel auto.

I believe these are fairly bullet proof vehicles but I don't really know where to start looking.

Any help is greatly received.

Cheers

The SSR-X and SSR-G is not the model. It is purely the interior trim spec.

The model number for a 3rd Gen Surf is KZN185 and the engine code is 1KZTE - In other words a 3 Litre TD Hilux surf 1996-ON Like this one.. http://www.roughtrax4x4.com/index.php?doc=11&cid=129

RoughTrax 4x4

Go for the intercooled version, it's got about 30 bhp more than the standard 3rd gen.

Still no where near as much as mine though, mwuhahahaha!!!

Be very careful which ever model you go for as I have imported a 3.0L SSRG turbo intercooler and had nothing but problems ensure the surf you buy check the history i.e. service and maintenance history as when they go wrong they are hard to fix and parts can be expensive
