The Seo has a stupid plastic surround around the head-unit, I think the Starlet may have the same layout.

Anyway I'm thinking of getting a double DIN & wondered if anyone's knows if they will fit with the surround in place?

if your on about them little plastic surrounds that normally come with the single din

HUs to hide the cage etc, then i dont think it will fit on the seo. my pioneer single din

one doesnt....

does this make sense, cos ive re read it a few times now, and aint too sure if it does,

or did it before and now that your still reading this, your not too sure either, so you

have to re read this reply over to try and make sense of what im saying, even

though you already had made sense of it.

your confused now aint ya! :!Removed!: :P

Here's a pic of the whole thing, scratches are from trying to fit those switches. :ffs:

It goes from the heater controls down to just above the ashtray & it clips out.

what do all the nifty buttons do ?

Green is angel eyes, red is mini neons, amber is fogs. ;)

This is what I want to try and do - before & after :D

the double din should fit in there fine dude. wat make is that HU? it looks very shiny and scratchable to me.....

very bling though.

and then where are your funky switches gonna go?

Posted

It's Kenwood, spec here.

Hoping to get one through Bibbs from Japan.

Thought I'd relocate the switches, take the ashtray out & make up a custom mount for them to go in there.

It's all a long way off yet anyway, I'm not sure it'll work but worth a shot i think. :)

if you get it from japan, will you get the radio stations?

i know US systems work on different frquency incrememnts, so they only go up in 0.2s or summin (97.6, 97.8)... or in odds, cant remember

You need a radio expander - but hose are pretty cheep i think.

J

Yea apparently the expanders are £10.

I don't listen to the radio much anyway.
