Got My Xt5

Finally able to let you all know I've got my RAV XT5. Collected it 10 days ago and finding it a refreshing change from my old Hyundai Tucson :D I got it from Blackburn, so a long train journey up, but well worth it as they had just dropped the price by £3000 and a lot cheaper than I could buy locally. Its Carbon Quartz and looks brilliant, though I've a feeling it will need lots of washing to keep its looks :(

I was amazed at the fuel consumption. Considering I kept forgetting the 6th gear and was playing a lot on the way home I still returned 45MPG according to the computer. I had set my heart on a T180, but the run flats put me off and I'm finding the 140BHP engine is responsive. Certainly pulls well and good acceleration, so no problems at the moment, but if I want more, I can look at chipping at a later date Other than the BHP the XT5 has all the goodies that the 180 has, so I won't feel I've missed out B)

Not sure if my pic is going to load properly but will give it a try

It was Toyota vantage Blackburn and excellent deal. I think I just dropped lucky finding it at the right time and the colour I wanted. Only problem I had was becauseit was so far away I paid a deposit on the strength of photo's that were sent to me, but found a large stone chip on the bonnet when I went to pick it up. In fairness to them, they have promised to get it repaired by my local dealer. Other than that I'm loving it.

Keep looking Raverboy they are out there, or did I get the last one

PS. How do I get a Pic to show straight onto the post? That is what I was trying to do, but just got the link instead

Superb looking car mate + super color Although i am slightly biased  Chatman does a good article on posting pics in technical hints + tips but basically you have to upload your pics to a host site, most use photobucket, then copy + paste the image code into your post, and 12mths ago i never thought i would ever be able to do it, let alone be trying to explain it to anyone else..:lol:

Later ones have the crazy foam and electric tyre pump.

Ouch! And I thought the XT5 was the holy grail. All toys and none of the drawbacks... :)

I didn't realise they changed it... And I was trying to keep up with all the T vs SR 180 etc...

Thanks Anchorman. You are an educator as always.

BTW, not dissin' your car in any way, mate. I got an XTR with the same tyre "arrangement"... (And no toys).

I was a bit surprised when I saw the original ad. cause i thought it would have the spare on the back. I like the "clean" back and was one of the reasons I had set my mind on a T or SR.

I can live with the gunk and compressor, because I know I will be able to get home and it's going to be a darn sight cheaper come tyre change time!!
