Head Unit

Hi

I have a 2005 XT3 and i was wanting to hook my ipod up to my stereo. Ideally i would like to know if anyone knows of an aftermarket head unit that will connect to my ipod and also still display the information which the factory fitted one does. i.e. MPG, average speed, and temp.

If no-one knows of this type of head unit does anyone know of a lead for the factory fitted one which connects to an ipod?

There are numerous Ipod interfaces for the OEM stereo.

This is the only way to retain the fuel and temperature info that the OEM stereo provides.

You can of course change the stereo with an aftermarket that has all your needs, but then you need to add a OBD2 reader like the ScanGaugeII to be able to read fuel consumption. You'll loose the temperature reading though.
