Auris - Plug Mp3 Player

Hi, I'm new at Toyota Owner's Club, from Portugal.

I've bought recenlty my Auris 1.4 D-4D Sol, and I want to buy a cable to plug in a mp3 player to my radio, however the Toyota's I-pod cable is very expensive (150€), plus the I'pos itself, it's very very expensive.

I also know that this Toyota cable allows us to control the musics from the radio controls (to switch track, volume), however, a more simplier solution, to just plug in a USB pen drive or a mp3 player, is there any alternative solution?

By the way, does someone know where to find the cd player model of this car? I know that it's a Fujistu only!

Thank you!

Best regards,

Hello!

I have an iPod, and I didn't want to buy the Toyota kit due to its price. I use a Griffin iTrip (see here) which plugs into the lighter socket, and the other end goes into your iPod. You then tune your radio into an empty FM frequency, and tune the iTrip into the same one. Press play on your iPod and the music comes out of your stereo. The sound is good, and the iTrip also charges your iPod at the same time. The only problem is that the radio display in the car just tells you what frequency is on, not what is playing on the iPod, and there is no way to skip between tracks apart from by using the iPod controls. I've just created a playlist though in which I love every track, put it on shuffle, and drive :D
