I can vouch that it certainly goes well (LH's RAV) and Kingo's kits are very easy to fit. ;)

Do they make a big difference through all the gears for overtaking and such , does the mpg suffer much when driving normal ?

I haven't got one but I believe that the fuel consumption can be improved if you drive carefully but will suffer if you grow horns and cane it. You can feel the difference when pushing it through the gears. I drove Stew's and it is lively.

Sorry Mick not had a lot 0f time to reply, Kingo's chip is a bit more expensive than some that can be had on eBay etc however i wanted mine supplied + fitted by a Toyota dealer and its been on for 2yrs (10,000) miles and has been faultless..for overtaking + midrange torque as well as pulling away from a standstill there is a very noticeable difference, for the first couple of weeks you will be racing around enjoying the extra power..Hoovie tried mine for a week+averaged about 33mpg, although he admitted to driving "enthusiastcally" after you have got that out of your system your mpg, driving normally will improve very slightly I generally get a REAL 40-42 mpg this is genuine + not what the OBD shows but TBH its so much fun you can't help enjoying yourself let me know if you need to know anything else, or PM Hoovie for an unbiased opinion..

Cheer

Ive seen the ones on eBay , like you say its much better to have a tried and tested chip even if it costs a little more . 2 years using it is good enough proof for me :)

Sound just like what im after , and the mpg staying around 41 genuine which im also getting around that sounds great :D

The extra pulling power would be good as the car is often full with bodies (alive that is )

Thanks LH

hey, I have the same K&N also and love it, I could not find a good deal on eBay so I found a discount coupon here: K&N 33-2345, or you can try one of the vendors on the forum here, you can usually find a good deal that way as well. This was very easy to install and I love it.

For those that might be interested the the K & N air filter part number for the RAV 4.3 2.2 D4D engine is 33-2345.

Just fitted this air filter to my car and every seems fine. :D ......... All in all, it has taken me longer to upload the photos and write this post than do both of those jobs.

so how's it going so far?

Fine, thanks

No problems, hardly notice the slight increase in induction noise anymore and with the radio on don't notice the turbo spinning up sometimes.

The engine feels as though it is breathing a lot better now, especially on the motorway.

So overall.....very happy. :D
