What tyres did you have fitted? Harder compounds will last longer, but at the expense of grip.

Had the previous tyres worn evenly?

My front tyres are the originals that came on the car, they were originally on the rear, but they have done 43000 miles! Almost need replacing now though!

The wifes yaris got through the first set of tyres at 11500 miles. Not impressed  She has the 1.4 D4D so wasn't sure if it was the extra weight of the deisel lump that caused it?

[First set of front tyres lasted 26,000 miles on diesel.

Rears lasted 30,000 - one was ruied with a puncture so replaced both.

New fronts - Goodyear, - have done 12,000 miles and have about 6mm of tread left so good for another 12,000 miles as a minimum.

I always check tyre pressures every 2 weeks.

Did your wife?

Your question was also the answer  Does any wife when they have a willing hubby to do it for them?

I didn't check that often, but probably every 3-4 weeks. I can only remember topping up the pressure once (and I think that was a back tyre).

My old yaris Tsport tires, covered 24,000 miles and they were still quite good

and i had the compressor fitted so that put more ware on them especially the fronts.

Tyre ware depends alot on driving style if you accelerate hard ,brake hard, corner hard the tire's wont last long ;)
