Accessories Are These Any Good? Or Recommendations

Hi folks been a forum member for over 10 years and in this time have aquired a number of Toyota vehicles. My latest being the Auris T180. Like others on the forum I bought it because it contained the specifications I was looking for. Mind you a smaller engine would have done me, as I am not a boy racer type. Anyway can anyone recommend what accessories would be best to but. I was looking at the boot liner and under parcel shelf storage box. Has anyone got these and can they recommend. Or is it just a waste of casheroo. Also I was looking at the cargo net as I don't like stuff moving around in the boot. Or is there any other additions that you folks can think off. I have thought about the IPOD dock etc but its a fortune..any advice as always appreciated. JD

Hi, you can take a look at the Toyota Accessory Installation Manuals on this Website Maybe you'll like something from the accessory list. I was thinking of getting the mudflaps. I just don't know if they would actually do any good or would it be a waste of money.

Regards,

Svet

I have a boot liner fitted. Fantastic idea if you have a dog, but its expensive. Still recommended

When I bought my Auris it didn't have front mud flaps (not necessary in my previous car) but during rainy weather the mud was covering my side windows. The front mud flaps do great job now as the car stays much cleaner.

I bought the boot liner and have the mud flaps. Both are excellent quality and look good too. The liner is brilliant. I've spilt fluids, oils crumbs and all sorts in the boot, and have just removed the liner and cleaned with hot soapy water and hey presto good as new. This has definitely saved my boot carpet. There is a small lip around the outside of the liner so as long as the spillage isn't too much the liner keeps it all from spilling over. Brilliant. Oh it feels slightly anti slip too.

Thanks for all the contributions looks like a boot liner and mud flaps..by the way are the mud flaps difficult to fit? i.e. is it easily done myself?

It is very easy. It takes about 10 minutes to fit both front mud flaps. The instruction is on AIM website.

Yeah dead easy. Did mine in about 30 mins. When you offer the mud flaps up you will see where the screws/bolts need to go. The only additional holes I had to make were on the rear flaps on the arch. But since it's going through plastic you can make the hole simply with an awl. I was also able to fit the front mud flaps with the wheels on. You just have to turn the wheels to give you that extra room for a screw driver............

Also worth looking up Toyota Auris on E-Bay as a lot of Toyota dealers advertise genuine parts on there at really good prices.

Got my genuine boot liner for £37 on there.

There is one small issue with mud flaps. They attract dirt. You must remove them once in a while to clean the paintwork as you can see it gets very dirty.
